Course Scorecard, Map & Hole by Hole OverviewPeterborough G&CC Hole 17Description Hole 17 – Par 5: Your last good chance for birdie at PGCC is our short dog-leg left par 5. A tee shot threaded between the trees and bunker on the left and the hidden bunker through the fairway does perfectly. There is no need to attempt to carry the corner here. Short of the bunker guarding the 18th fairway will leave a long iron or wood second shot. For your second, if you can carry the ball 200 yards then a chance at eagle is a definite possibility. If not, and you are particularly daring, a run-up through the two bunkers protecting the front of the green will do. If you do have to lay up, then do so wisely. Challenging those same two bunkers, to gain a shorter approach, is a big mistake. This green is on of the toughest on the course, with many small undulations not seen by the naked eye. ![]() |
